Bicycle storage comes in three forms and that is; wall mounted, ceiling mounted and a bicycle storage shed. It is the latter of these that have the largest range of costs associated with them as wall mounted and ceiling mounted solutions seem to be all around the same price. If you got a garden and have some free space to store bicycles I would highly recommend a bicycle storage shed – they are a particularly good idea if you have a number of bikes.
There is a wide range of prices though when it comes to outdoor bicycle storage which ranges from £35 or the way up to £450, I suppose to a certain extent the amount you spend would depend upon how valuable your bikes are and how often used them. The cheapest type of storage for outside use is called the cave and it is in essence a glorified tent it offers little to no security through for your bicycles but it will keeping dry and hence stop them from corroding in harsh weather. The cave can be secured to a wall or can in fact be freestanding it is olive drab in colour and hence it is particularly unobtrusive.
The most expensive type bike storage you can get for the outside is called the bike store it is in essence a metal box that has a large up and over doorway where you can gain access easily for up to 3 adult bikes. This thing is made to last and if your bikes are very valuable than I would highly recommend getting this one it can be securely locked from the outside and if anyone dared to break into it would make such a clanging noise that it would wake up the whole neighbourhood.
It has been said that if you intend on using your bike often you should opt for the most accessible type of bicycle storage you can because from my personal experience inadequate bike storage can easily put you off going for a bike ride because you will have to fight to get your bike out.
