When we painted my daughters nursery, we purchased board to place in the center of the wall. We painted it pink. We used a light green color above it to paint up the to the ceiling. The ceiling of her room was left white along with the bottom of the wall. We put up the pink board right in the center. It looks amazing with green above and white below! You can do this with any room. Another way to do it is to just paint the border instead of placing board up on the wall.

In my other daughters room, we took sponges of different shapes that match her room decor. We then placed a border along the top of the wall. It is done in pink, blue, green, and yellow. You can do any color you would like to choose. If you would prefer, you can also purchase wallpaper border to put up in the rooms. These looks good and are very easy to place on the wall. Tip # 8 – If you’re going to be doing any type of decorative strokes on the wall practice on a piece of base coated poster board first until you achieve the look you want.
